August 2012
August was a big month for our family. Patrick started school again, I was called as the second counselor in the Primary presidency at church, Joslyn started preschool and Seth turned 2. Here are some pictures to boot!
Summer wouldn't be complete without snocones!
Seth loves carrying around all of his treasures in our pool bag.
Seth can't seem to get the idea of a telescope.
Big CHEESY grin!
My beautiful girl.
Seth's favorite part of Joslyn's meet the teacher day.
Eating her ice cream cone.
Sunday afternoon with my handsome husband.
Joss FINALLY earned her potty training reward bike! She loves it and I love that she is done potty training!
First day of preschool. She is getting so grown up.
I got ombre highlights. I love them!
Ricotta Chocolate Chip Muffins from skinnytaste.com They were so yummy.
I went to the restroom and when I came back she was fast asleep on the couch.
Writing is tough stuff. Gotta wear that helmet!
Sat still for too long and he was out.
Just hanging around.
Seth loves Joslyn's helmet too.
Having fun with Daddy.
Preschool homework.
Mommy and me time at the library.
Our car overheated one night as we were headed to the temple. Luckily we were close to an Auto Zone and got everything taken care of in time to make a session.
Dancing together.
He tries to squeeze into tiny spaces.
Joslyn all ready for church.
We always take the big fancy birthday cake to my parents' house on the Sunday before or after the kids birthday. Mainly so we can share it with everyone and I don't get stuck with all that cake. Here is Seth blowing out the candles on his Broby cake. Seth was so excited when he saw me making his cake. He loves Yo Gabba Gabba.
Broby tasted good too.
Relaxing with Seth, waiting to pick up Joss from preschool.
Riding his new birthday present. It even makes sounds and has turn signals.
We decorated the house with 2's for Seth's big second birthday. Such a handsome little guy.
Two days after his birthday Seth had his well check. He is doing great. He weighs 24.4 lbs (19%) and is 35.5 inches tall (77%)
The day before his well check Seth learned to climb out of his crib. We didn't take the time to convert it because we were kind of hoping it was a fluke. It wasn't and the next afternoon he fell out and broke both arms in his forearm just above his wrist. The doctor said it is a very common brake for toddlers and that in a few years you won't even be able to see the brake on an x-ray. He had a brace and an ace bandage for a few days until the swelling went down enough to put a cast on his arm.
Seth got a cool green cast. He did pretty well getting it on and it didn't slow him down at all.
Joss's hair after riding her bike in the August Arizona heat. She looked like she had just gotten out of the bath. It was gross.
Seth loves cars.
Playing at Daddy's work waiting for our lunch date.
My poor niece got her hair stuck in the rope swing at my parents' house. Luckily, they were able to get it untangled without having to cut it.
Joslyn is getting pretty good at writing her name. I really love how she writes the letter s. :)
