Another Photo Shoot

I got another coupon in the mail for free pictures so I dressed Joss up in her blessing dress and we headed down to the mall. The printer was having some issues that day and it took FOREVER to get them, but they gave me an extra print for the wait, so I was pretty excited.

I got the last picture of her on the pink (the full body shot). I also got the one against the white with the HUGE grin where she is looking at the camera and the one where she is wrapped in the pink blanket smiling.

You can access the album the same way as last time. Here is the website. My email is and the password is password. It is the second album, but you can always look back at how adorable she was last time too.

Getting Her Exercise

Joss loves to kick. She especially loves to kick while she is playing with her gym. Here is a short video of her kicking. Maybe someday she will use her arms too.

We closed on our house yesterday afternoon. Patrick and I are officially homeowners! Crazy! We are planning to move next Saturday morning. We are excited to be moving in, but are dreading packing up everything. It will totally be worth it though! We will post pictures of the house later.

We signed the loan papers for our house this morning! So excited!

Anyway, during our signing, we were talking with the notary about Patrick's time in Chile. During the conversation it was mentioned that the big bank in Chile is the Edwards bank. I made a joke that he should have claimed to be one of those Edwards for the prestige. This is when the notary made the comment, "That's a good idea, but it's not like he was wearing his name on his shirt!" Patrick and I chuckled a little to ourselves. No, he wasn't wearing his name on his shirt, it was on a nametag on his suit coat. :)

Blessing Day

Joslyn was blessed today by her father. He gave her a beautiful blessing. He blessed her to know how much her parents and her Heavenly Father love her. He blessed her to discern right from wrong, to make good friends, to develop her talents, to understand the gospel, to make sacred covenants with God, to marry in the temple.

We are thankful to those who came to support us in blessing our daughter. It helped to make it an extra special day for our family.

Mamu and Papu Edwards

This past weekend Patrick's Dad and stepmom came to Phoenix to see all three of their new grandbabies. So, the family all got together.

Here is a picture of Joss with her cousin Brian and their Papu Edwards. Brian and Joslyn are about a month apart in age.

Well, I've been a mommy now for a little over two months and what have I learned...

Most importantly, I learned that I have to let Joslyn be Joslyn.

I can't force her to sleep when she doesn't want to sleep. No matter how much I try. Plus, if she wants to stay awake all day and sleep all night, I'm okay with that. I mean what could be better than a 2 week old that sleeps through the night?

So, what if our dishes don't get cleaned because Joslyn wants to eat; they will get done tomorrow (Hopefully). Or if I don't get to shower until 3pm, at least I got a shower today. Or if I type everything with one hand because Joss is in the other. Or if she dictates your entire schedule, what two month old doesn't?

I guess this sounds like I am complaining. I'm not really. Joss and I are both much happier now that we have figured things out a little more. Well, I guess since I figured things out a little more.

St. Patrick's Day Pizza Night

Every Tuesday night is Pizza Night at my parents' house. They are kind enough to have extended an open invitation to us. Well this Tuesday was St. Patrick's Day as well as Spring Break for most school-goers. My Mom took this opportunity to have a big St. Patty's Day celebration! There was limbo, green pudding, green juice, she even made beards and hats for all the kids. It was such a good time. Thanks Mom for being so much fun!

Swing, Swing, Swing

Joslyn thinks that sleeping is the worst thing ever invented. She must get that from Patrick, because I LOVE to sleep. Anyway, here is a video of Joslyn losing her battle with sleep.

Birthday Celebration

I can't believe it! I'm 25 now! Time sure flies by fast.

This birthday was a great one! Patrick was so wonderful. He woke up with Joslyn so that I could sleep in late, which incidentally was much needed, as I was up until 2am with a serious headache. Once Joslyn was asleep again, he ran out to the store to buy syrup and bananas and my birthday present. He got me a beautiful necklace that I wore all day. When he got home from shopping he made cinnamon pecan pancakes. Yummy! Then we gave Joslyn a bath and got ready for out family photo shoot at the park. Those pictures will be posted soon. After pictures we went to Texas Roadhouse for dinner with my sister, Kristi, her husband Mike and our friends Emily and Ryan. It was a lot of fun.

From the Bottom of Our Heart

The very BOTTOM. :)

New Do

Last night, Patrick watched Joslyn so that I could get a much needed hair cut. I'm not sure that I like it. I had them put more bangs in and I am having mixed feelings. Here is a picture of the new cut.

Our Little Eight Week Old

I can't believe our little girl is already eight weeks. Time is sure flying by fast! We love this little girl more and more each day. We are so lucky to have this beautiful and healthy little girl in our family.

She is so much fun. She has started smiling and we should be laughing here any day. She is already sleeping through the night. Which makes her mommy and daddy very happy! Patrick has many nicknames for Joslyn. She is his little wiggle wobble, Joslanovic, Jossy, little hippo, and basically whatever comes to his mind.

She is so sweet and Patrick and I just love holding and cuddling with her. She brightens our days. We love her so much.

Accessories, Accessories, Accessories

It's all about the accessories!

On Sunday, I wore my clip on earrings to church. I thought I would make Patrick laugh by letting Joss wear them. She looked so cute.

Megan's Blessing

Today, Patrick had the great privilege of blessing our niece, Megan. He gave her a wonderful blessing. He blessed her to be able to find and develop her talents early in life, to be a light to her mother, to understand the gospel, that she will find love in her family and in the church and many other things. It was very beautiful.

After the blessing all the ward members came up to Patrick and Joslyn, thinking that Joslyn was Megan. It was fun explaining it all to them.

Here is Jen, Megan and Patrick after the blessing.

Joslyn's New Sleep Mask

The other day I looked in to check on Joslyn while she was taking a nap and this is what I saw. I thought it was pretty funny, so I grabbed the camera.
