Jennifer, Patrick's sister, came over for dinner and to check out the new house tonight. She brought her daughter, Megan, who is about 2 1/2 weeks older than Joss. These two were so funny. They would talk at the other one but the other one would never respond. They did smile at each other lots though. Here are some pictures of them together.

:(
Unfortunately, the wedding planning class that I was going to take this summer was cancelled due to lack of enrollment. :(
At least I will get to spend more time with Patrick and Joslyn and get my tuition back.

Exciting Opportunity
Months ago, I emailed several wedding planning companies in the area asking if they had any possible internship opportunities available. They all said no, but that if they heard of anything that they would let me know about.
Well, the other day I received an email from one of the ladies that I had contacted. It wasn't an internship, but it was an 8 week course at the community college that teaches you "everything you need to know to become a wedding planner". You also become a certified wedding planner through this class.
So, after talking it over with Patrick, we decided to go for it. I start classes on Monday and they will be finished July 27th. Sixteen nights and I'll be a certified wedding planner.
We are hoping that this class will help me to find a job that can count as my senior internship with ASU so I can finally graduate!

Memorial Day BBQ and Water Fight
For Memorial Day this year my family got together at my parents house for a BBQ and some fun in the water. They set up a slip 'n' slide and a small swimming pool. Then the water guns came out and the adults got into a water fight. When Ben, who started the fight, decided to go inside the house for safety, the other males made plans to storm the house and drag Ben out kicking and screaming. It was pretty hilarious. Here are some pictures. I can't get the video of the attack to upload properly so I will have to try again later.

My New Piano Keyboard
On Saturday, Patrick and I went to Guitar Center and bought me a piano keyboard! (By the way, never go to the Guitar Center with a guitar player, it takes forever to get out of the store.) We are so excited! I have missed playing and it will be nice to get back to it!
Patrick is pretty excited too. I think he has used it more than I have. He also likes to use it as a music stand for his guitar music. He is excited because he can hook it up to the computer and record different tracks.
Now, I just have to get all my music from my parents house!

Four Months Old
Joslyn is four months old now! She is so much fun. We just love her smiles and squeals of joy. She loves playing with her toys now and is even rolling over. One of her favorite things is her blanket. She loves it when we ball it up and put it on her tummy. She hugs it tight and rolls to the side, all the while squealing in happiness.
Our New Fridge
My sister works for Pulte Homes and every now and then they hold an appliance auction where they auction of the appliances from the model homes. Well, luckily my sister thought to ask Patrick and me if we wanted to bid on anything and we decided to bid on a refrigerator. So now we have a new fridge and we love it! It did have a small dent on one side, but it is low so our counter covers it. No big deal at all!
Here is the old fridge
And here is the shiny new fridge that we are so happy about!

Joslyn's New Trick
Joslyn has learned to roll over! This isn't the best video, since she is already half way rolled over. She hasn't learned how to roll from her tummy to her back yet and since she HATES being on her tummy. She rolls over and starts to cry.
I have been trying to get a video of her adorable giggle, but she doesn't do it very often and it is usually very short. But trust me it is CUTE!

Kelli's New Calling
I got a new calling in our ward yesterday. I am now the primary pianist.
Yesterday was my first week playing and they were pretty impressed by my mad piano playing skills. (Yes, I am tooting my own horn! So what!)
I think my favorite part was when we were singing "Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes". They kids like to sing this song as fast as they can, so they sing it over and over again getting faster each time. Well, for the last time through the chorister looks over at me and tells the whole primary that this is when he is going to "blow me out of the water." I just smiled back and thought to myself, "we'll see." Needless to say our chorister was amazed that I could keep up with him! :)

The Grades Are In...
The spring semester is finally over! Patrick and I are so excited to have it done and behind us. I feel like I haven't been able to spend real time with Patrick in months! I am so happy that he will be home every night now!
Patrick's grade report came today and he got all A's. So proud of him. He worked really hard this semester and deserves those A's.

Baby Food
I have been debating with myself about making baby food for Joslyn. It doesn't seem like it would be too hard to do. You just cook the food and then mash it up. You can even freeze it for the month.
On the other hand, the store bought food is a lot easier because, well, you don't have to make it. It also doesn't need to be refrigerated so it is easier for our "on the go" days. I'm just not sure.
So I was wondering; Do any of you who have had babies have any advice for a novice mother?

Four Month Checkup
Today was Joslyn's four month well-check. She is doing well. She is developmentally right on track.
Here are her new stats:
She weighs in at 10lbs 11oz.
Her length is 24 inches.
She has gone up on the percentiles. She is now in the 3-5 for weight, she was just in the third. Its not much, but it is something! She jumped way up on the length though. She was in the 25-50th and now is in the 75th percentile. So she is long and skinny. She doesn't get that from me.
The doctor also said that if we felt she was ready we could start her on solids. I've been thinking that she is ready for them so I think we are going to start those soon.
She also got four more immunization shots today. She is such a trooper. She had already stopped crying before the nurse had even left the room.

Look I've Grown
Giving Hearts
On Saturday, Patrick was out working and while he was spraying a house the owner was talking to him and it was brought up that Patrick has a new baby. Well, this lady kindly excused herself and went back in the house and come out with a present for Patrick. He waited to open it when he got home and it was a little baby bib for Joslyn. What a sweet lady?
