New Calling
Patrick has another new calling. He was called to be the 1st Counselor to the Elder's Quorum President. He is going to be one busy guy these days. Especially until they find a new webelos leader.
Funny Stuff
I just love that Joslyn is laughing more and that she is gaining more of a personality. It is pretty funny the things that she finds funny. Here is a video of her laughing because her daddy was throwing a tennis ball against the door.
Nine Months
Joslyn is nine months old now. Well, for a while now. She was sick an her nine month birthday, so I waited to take some photos of her. No one wants to see her all sick with her nose all runny.
Anyway, Joss is doing great! She now weighs 15 lbs 3 oz. Which puts her in the 4th percentile for weight. She is also 27 1/2 inches long. She is doing great. We have taken away her pacifier and she is having a harder time falling asleep, but she is still doing well. She is into everything and especially loves anything that makes noise. She is crusing and even stood by herself the other day. I don't expect her to be walking real soon, but it is not that far away.
I was so proud of Joss when she got her shots. She didn't even cry. She just looked and the nurse and yelled something like, "What did you do that for, it hurts!" She cried more when I put her in her car seat, which she now hates. I was also happy that she didn't eat any of her band-aids!
Here are some pictures of my little nine month old!

It's Apparent You're a Parent...
when you find yourself strolling through the aisles of the supermarket singing the words to "Pop Goes The Weasel".

Request for Recipes
Recently, I've been trying to be more diverse in our meals and that includes adding new sides. I've been having a hard time finding good recipes for side dishes. So, if you would be so kind to comment here with yours or your family's favorite side dish recipe. In exchange, I am posting one of our favorites. Thanks!
Farmer's Market Squash Saute
I got this recipe from Kraftfoods.com. It is really yummy. If you don't like yellow squash you can use all zucchini.
Ingredients:
2 zucchini, sliced
2 yellow squash, sliced
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 Tbsp. olive oil
1/2 cup Mozzarella Cheese
2 Tbsp. chopped fresh basil
2 Tbsp. Grated Parmesan Cheese
Directions:
Cook vegetables in hot oil in large skillet on medium heat 3 min., stirring occasionally. Stir in garlic; cook 3 min. or until vegetables are crisp-tender.
Remove from heat; stir in mozzarella and basil.
Sprinkle with Parmesan.

Under Where?
Joslyn loves to crawl under her daddy's legs. He will crawl out in front of her and she crawls to get back under. She loves playing with her daddy.
Also she has learned that she can walk if someone holds her hands. She wants to do it all the time now. Pretty cute stuff.
Here is a video of her doing her two new tricks right after her bath.

Maestro
Joslyn has been practicing and practicing and practicing this song. All day long she wants to practice the piano. She is always climbing up and trying to reach the keys. She would sit and play for hours on end if I would let her. Here is a little video of what she has done so far. Take a listen.

First time to the Park
The weather here has been wonderful the last few days. Todays high is only supposed to be in the mid 80s! Which makes us desert rats come out of hiding and head outdoors.
We decided to use this opportunity to take a family walk and head to the park.

Mommy and Joss ready to go down the slide
Climbing back up to go down again
Ready to go down with Daddy
Big smiles as we finish
