Little Help Please!

Patrick has become a little bored with his lunches lately. I wish I could send him with our leftovers for dinner, but he doesn't have a refrigerator or a microwave to reheat them, and he hates to eat cold leftovers.
Anyway, I am looking for a little help with some lunch box ideas. What do you send your kids to school with? All I can think of are sandwiches or wraps. I know I'm totally lame. If you have any ideas, please post them. Thanks.

Does he like soup/chili? You can pour boiling water in a thermos, wait 10 minutes, pour it out, and then pour the hot soup/chili in... it will stay hot. Or pack cold food with ice packs, like salads and pasta salads. Adam likes when I make him 'kabobs' with veggies, cheese, and meat on sticks... but that might be too young for Patrick. :)

I do hot dogs or chicken nuggets in foil, they keep warm but Preston only has 2 1/2 hours before lunch so... Also, Allison thermos idea is great. I do soup or mac and cheese for Preston. I freeze capri suns and that helps to keep cold things cold. And by the time it's lunch time it's usually a slushy, which he loves. (Probably a little too young for Patrick too.)

Ryan really like potato salad or pasta salad, i just got a couple of blue ice pack to throw in with his stuff keeps everything nice and cold. The blue ice is pretty cheap we just got the ones in the bags rather than the hard pack ones, they are a lot thinner. Luckily Ryan doesn't mind eating the same thing a lot.

Thanks for the advice. I will have to get Patrick a thermos. I didn't even think of that! He will love hot soup in the winter when he is outside all day.

I totally have the same problem with lunches for Mitch! I always eat our leftovers for lunch because I have a microwave, but Mitch doesn't have one at school and I feel bad giving him the same thing everyday! I'm totally going to steal all these awesome ideas!!! :)
