Music to My Ears
Yesterday, I was putting some more stuff away and Patrick was playing with Joslyn in her bouncer. He was bouncing her and singing to her and she laughed for the first time. It was so adorable. I dropped what I was doing and ran to get the camera, but of course, as soon as she saw it she stopped laughing. I assure you though it is the cutest thing ever. Hopefully, we can get it on video soon and I will post it for you guys.
Two Month Check-up (A little late)
On Tuesday, I took Joslyn to see the doctor for her two month checkup. We are about a month late, but that's okay.
She weighed in at a whopping 9 lbs 5 oz, and she is 23 inches long. She is progressing right where she should be for her birth weight. For those who like percentiles, she is 3% for weight and 25-50% for her length. Long and skinny, I wonder where she gets that? :) She is also spot on for her physical and cognitive development.
She got four shots that day too. She didn't like them much, but I don't think anyone will blame her for that. She was such a trooper though.
We are so happy that she is growing well and doing the things that she is supposed to be doing.

Besties
Joss has found two new best friends at the house. She smiles and plays with them all day long.
Thumbsucker
It is official I have a thumbsucking baby. I went to check on Joss today and this is what I found.
A Few of Our Favorite Things
Here are a few of our favorite things about the new house. I will post better pictures of the house when I get things sorted out and put together. We are a mess right now.
1. The dishwasher! Our apartment kept promising to get us one that worked and never did, but now we have one that works! So excited! No more dishpan hands for me!
2. Our pantry! We can actually fit boxes of food inside the pantry! Its amazing. The cabinets in our apartment were so short that we couldn't fit a lot of the boxes in them.
3. Our kitchen cabinets! We actually have enough space to put all of our dishes and appliances in them! With extra room! How great is that!
4. The garage! No more parking far away! Now I can load up the car without having to lug Joslyn back and forth! Plus the car will be cooler in the summer! No more burning myself on the steering wheel.
5. Washer and Dryer! No more taking laundry to my parents of heading to the laundromat! No more quarters and weirdos! I can wash whenever I want! Hooray!
6. Double sink! I am so excited about this one. Our apartment had one big sink which was nice, but made rinsing the dishes I had to do by hand a big pain. So excited to have the extra sink!
7. Joslyn's own room! I think Patrick and I are most excited about this one! Now we can read in our room and get ready for bed with the light on! So happy!

Celebrity Status
I have decided that babies are like mini celebrities.
You can't go out in public with out people pointing to them. It is especially bad if they have small children of their own. The brave ones will even come up and talk to you about how cute they are and start asking all sorts of random questions. Always wanting to know how old they are, if they sleep through the night, etc.
In fact, Joslyn and I took a walk to get the mail today and a truck pulled over just to ask how old she was. I'm not going to lie, I was a little freaked out when they first pulled over, but they asked their question got the answer and drove away.
I think it was especially bad for Joslyn because she was so small. When she was first born they all wanted to know how early she was and how much she weighed when she was born. Their faces would make me laugh when I would tell them that she wasn't early and that she was just small. They just couldn't seem to believe it. I can't really blame them though. I, myself, had to do a double take when I first saw what she weighed.
It is just nice walking through a store and everyone smiles at you because of the adorable little girl in your arms. :)

Moving Pains
Who knew that moving was such a pain?
There is so much to do and it is all a big pain in the you know where! Here are just some of the reasons moving stinks.
1. You must pack all your belongings. You never seem to have enough boxes and things never fit right. You have to make sure they aren't too heavy, or lopsided, and that your breakables are packing super well so that they are still in one piece when you reopen that box later. Then, as soon as you get the box filled you realize that the side or bottom of the box is really flimsy so you have to take everything out to fix it. Argh!
2. You have to get the utilities set up and turned off and make sure that they are on in time to get the fridge cold and shut off with enough time to get everything cleaned. BTW we don't have a garbage can so we are going to have to pay for a new one, unless we can find it.
3. Renting a moving truck. Getting it picked up and returned and driving the monster.
4. Changing your address everywhere and forwarding everything else! What a pain?! Also getting the mailbox rekeyed since we don't have the key to the mailbox.
5. Deep cleaning two houses. Enough said.
Such pains! But necessary evils. Luckily, it is all for a good cause. We are moving into OUR house.
